On Sunday January 20th at 12:30, the Weare Federals Basketball Team will be hosting speaker Dan Duval at the Weare Middle School Gym. Mr. Duval will share with you his inspiring life lessons on beating his addictions. Clean and sober since 1984, Dan describes his past in an honest, powerful and energetic fashion. His speech has a profound message for all people, young and old, student athletes and non-student athletes, men and women. Please join us for an inspiring afternoon. Oh and by the way, we will be through before the Pats's kick-off! |

The Weare Federals AAU Team has begun its 2007 season. The executive board made several decisions affecting the make of the team and organization. The Weare Federals is now a 12U team. This will allow the majority of our boys to compete in an age bracket closer if not in the same age group. Additionally, Rich Hellings has stood up another team that is an 11U team. At this point we are not sure if the 11U team will also be called the Weare Federals. Currently the 12U team is holding coaching clinics on Sundays from 12 - 2 at New England College Bridges Gym. The 11U team holds practices from 12-2 at the Weare Middle School Gym. As the Merrimack Basketball league winds down, we will start selecting our team. Coach Nelson, Grattan and Hellings are all looking forward to an awesome AAU season with or returning kids as well as our new kids.
And lastly, we always want to throw a shout out to the parents, because without your support, none of this would be possible. |
